Postpartum Doulas
A postpartum doula provides invaluable support to new parents during the challenging postpartum period. Their assistance with newborn care, breastfeeding guidance, emotional support, and household tasks allows parents to recover, bond with their baby, and navigate the early days of parenthood with confidence and reduced stress, ultimately promoting a smoother transition into family life.

I am Mexica, deeply connected to my ancestral roots in the sacred land of Anahuac.
I wholeheartedly embrace the rich diversity and inclusivity of this community. Drawing from
my deep cultural roots and ancestral heritage, I bring understanding and cultural sensitivity
to my work. As a Doula, I fully embrace and celebrate diversity and inclusivity. I chose the
path of a Doula to bring about empowerment, unwavering support, invaluable education,
and strong advocacy for both the birthing individual and their love ones. With my heartfelt
dedication, I stand by your side to respect and cherish every decision, moment, aspect, and
the ones that shape you in your unique power towards parenthood. Together, will blend
emotion, physical well-being, and unwavering support to create a fulfilled reproductive
journey. Through integrated emotional, physical, educational, and advocacy support, I
work alongside you to honor your choices, experiences, identities, body, and family
throughout you I trained as a full spectrum doula with Tewa Women United in 2018 and have completed
additional training with Innate Postpartum Tradition, Indigenous Childbirth Education, Roots
of Labor Collective, Indigenous Breastfeeding Counselor, Healthy Children Project Center for
Breastfeeding, and Placenta Encapsulation.

Tori Romero is a native New Mexican, born and raised in Albuquerque, and has spent over eight years supporting families as a labor doula and childbirth educator. She works with clients across a wide range of birth settings, including home births and hospital deliveries, offering steady, informed support wherever families choose to give birth.
Tori’s approach blends evidence-based care with a holistic, client-centered philosophy. She is trained in Spinning Babies® techniques and values both physiological birth and the thoughtful use of medical care when needed. She believes deeply in informed consent, clear communication, and meeting each family where they are—supporting their goals without judgment.
As a mother of four adult children, Tori understands how deeply personal pregnancy and birth can be. Clients often describe her as calm, grounding, and deeply present. She offers emotional reassurance, hands-on comfort measures, and clear, evidence-based information so clients feel confident, supported, and never alone during the birth process.
Tori lives in Albuquerque with her husband and their three dogs. She feels honored to walk alongside families during one of the most vulnerable and transformative moments of their lives and is passionate about helping each client feel safe, heard, and empowered in their birth experience.

Saychelle Rincon Y. is an intuitive, kindhearted Midwifery Fellow and Doula who strives to always be learning. Saychelle is proud to be part of a large Caribbean family who immigrated to New York City and Miami, Florida. After earning their Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, they began attending births in 2010 as a DTI doula and in 2017 as a Birth Assistant with CPR and NRP certifications. Since then they have attended over 150 births in Utah, Pennsylvania, Idaho and the Big Island of Hawaii. They had their own home birth to a kiddo named Zeke in 2015 and have been an advocate for Queer family-making wherever they serve. Although new to the Enchanted Desert, Saychelle is creating a sustainable relationship with those supporting the childbearing year here in New Mexico.

Their offerings as a birth keeper and facilitator range from Spiritual Cleanings (Limpias) and Bone Closing Ceremonies to Full Spectrum Doula support, as well as transmuting Placenta medicine and practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist, specializing in Child Development and Pregnancy Massage. They have been studying and applying the wisdom gleaned from Birthwise Midwifery School, Body Ready Method and Spinning Babies, as well as attending a range of birth environments from hospitals to birth centers, bath tubs to bedrooms, even outside in nature, for the last 10+ years, loving every minute of growth given.
Now, as they focus into developing their Midwife skills towards their CPM and LM, as well as authentically showing up as a queer and non-binary matriarch, they take pride in serving their ancestral, chosen and surrounding community.

Birth Doula Packages
Level 1: Certified Doula Services 3 Visits + Birth $1800
Level 2: Certified Doula Services 3 Visits & Birth, $1400
Level 3: Certifying Mentored Doula Services 3 Visits & Birth $1100

Postpartum Doula Packages
Day time Postpartum Doula Care: Day time care is offered in 3-24 hour blocks at $40/hr. Doulas offer flexible scheduling with a minimum of 3 hrs of care at a time. *Twins or Siblings $45/hour.
Nighttime Postpartum Doula care: (8pm or later): Overnight care is offered at $45/hr with a minimum of 8hrs of care at a time. *Twins/Siblings $50/hr
Payment Plans
The Birthing Tree offers a payment plan option for birth Doula services. We require a $200 upfront deposit when you book your doula, and complete payment by 37 weeks. You are welcome to break the payments up to meet your needs, as long as full payment is made by 37 weeks.
The initial deposit can be made via mail, or online through the drop down payment link above. Please note that the $200 deposit is non refundable. To do this, select ‘Make a Deposit for Your Doula Services’ in the drop down menu. Please be sure to specify the Doula you are working with in the ‘notes’ section of the payment.
The remaining payments may be made through Paypal by sending it to martha@thebirthingtree.com, we can invoice you through Paypal.

Pay It Forward
We believe every birthing person should have access to doula support however working as a doula is a huge commitment of time, training and care and also deserves compensation. If you are able, please consider donating full or part of the cost of a doula so that all in our community have access to this care. Every dollar donated goes towards proving a reduced cost or free doula to a family who needs it most.
