We recommend starting a series some time between 21-34 weeks gestation so that your last class is around 37 weeks. Please get in touch if you are further along than that and we will help you find the best class!

Childbirth Education

This comprehensive series is a must for expectant families, whether planning to give birth at home, in a hospital, or at a birth center. Over the course of six engaging classes, we equip parents with practical insights into crucial topics like labor stages, natural childbirth, coping strategies, and partner support. But it doesn't stop there; we go a step further by seamlessly integrating holistic techniques to address anxiety, stress, and foster stronger relationships, all designed to bolster your confidence as you embark on your journey as new parents.

Led by experienced doulas and educators, our aim is to educate families on the spectrum of childbirth experiences, from the ordinary to the extraordinary. We empower you to make informed decisions within a hospital setting and prepare you holistically for the transition to life with your precious newborn.

*Classes are weekly for 6 weeks from 6-8pm.

*Classes 5 & 6, also known as Postpartum Recovery & Infant Feeding may be purchased independently for those who are familiar with the birthing process already.

Class 1
Final Weeks of Pregnancy

Class 2
What to Expect in Labor

Stages of labor, watch birth video, hormones of birth, coping skills in labor, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, tips to keep birth uncomplicated.

Class 3
Variations of Normal Birth

Natural pain relief, positions for labor & birth, medications in birth, informed consent, letting go of expectations, birth plan, avoiding the ‘cascade of interventions’.

Class 4
Baby is Born!

Transition phase & effective pushing, birth of the placenta, immediate newborn procedures, packing your hospital bag postpartum resources.

Class 5
Postpartum Recovery

Planning and caring for your body in the immediate postpartum, home remedies for perineal healing and navigating life with your newborn

Breast/Chestfeeding

Breast/chestfeeding hands on techniques, the first hours and first 6 weeks of feeding baby. getting a good ‘latch’,

This interactive online course covers the essentials of breastfeeding, including clear animation and plenty of video examples. This interactive online course covers essential information about preparing for, and recovering from cesarean birth, it highlights ways partners can help during the process. Postpartum Recovery – This interactive online course covers essential information for the first two weeks after birth, including taking care of yourself, caring for your newborn, and feeding your baby. It also highlights important warning signs so you know when to call for help. Allow about 2 hours to complete.

This interactive online course covers essential information for the first six weeks and beyond, including clear video examples of bathing, feeding and diapering, and lets you know when to call the doctor. You will also stay organized with a variety of helpful checklists and trackers! Allow 2-3 hours to complete.

Newborn Care Class

This class is designed for you to learn about the first three months with a newborn. Whether this is your first baby or it's been awhile, this course will help you to feel prepared to care for your new baby!

Parents self care during this special time

Participants are offered hands-on practice experience that is invaluable in preparing for life with a newborn.

Infant CPR & Choking

Patrick Reynolds is the Lead Instructor at PARCAN Training, known for a compassionate and straightforward teaching style, and is a certified instructor in Basic Life Support and First Aid/CPR/AED through both the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross.

His approach to CPR instruction combines compassionate,
straightforward teaching with extensive certifications in emergency response, trauma care,
disaster preparedness, and workplace safety, helping participants build confidence and
readiness to act in critical moments.

Space is limited, maximum of 12 individuals per class.
