Welcome to The Birthing Tree, where we are committed to providing compassionate birth and postpartum doula services as well as comprehensive high-quality parent classes. Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge and support you need to navigate the exciting journey into parenthood confidently.

Our name, "The Birthing Tree," draws inspiration from the renowned "Birthing Tree" in Tennessee, a symbol of strength and endurance. Much like nurturing qualities of a tree, our doulas provide support to expectant families throughout their journey into parenthood. Like the branches of a tree, our doulas extend their steady support to families during childbirth and the postpartum period, providing a safe and loving environment for growth. We believe that, just like all living things thrive with the right care and support, families can flourish and succeed with the compassionate care of a doula by their side.

Our Non-Profit Commitment
As part of our unwavering dedication to promoting positive and healthy experiences throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, The Birthing Tree Fund is registered as a 501c3 non-profit organization. This has enabled us to expand our reach and ensure access to our valuable services for all families in Northern New Mexico. We firmly believe that every family deserves this essential support as they embark on the incredible journey of parenthood.
Meet our Founders
Simran, a nurse-midwife trained in New Zealand, has supported hundreds of families through home and hospital births. With a Master's degree in Public Health and years of experience in early childhood education, she is passionate about childbirth education, postpartum support, and parenting consultations. Simran empowers parents to make informed choices, blending her clinical expertise with the real-life perspectives of a mom to three, to offer balanced guidance throughout the extraordinary journey of pregnancy and parenting.

Martha, hailing from Central Africa and deeply influenced by her Persian heritage, has been fascinated by family dynamics and community cohesion from a young age. As a devoted mother of two and a thriving entrepreneur within our community, she seamlessly blends her financial expertise with her passion for fostering close-knit families. Her commitment to The Birthing Tree's mission to support families makes her an invaluable asset to our organization.
