Birth Doulas
Una doula puede mejorar la experiencia del parto brindando apoyo emocional, información basada en evidencia, técnicas de manejo del dolor y defensa. Su presencia puede conducir a una reducción de las intervenciones y una mayor satisfacción con el proceso del parto, beneficiando tanto a la persona que da a luz como a su pareja. Además, nuestras doulas extienden su apoyo hasta el perÃodo posparto, contribuyendo a una transición fluida hacia la paternidad.
Postpartum Doulas
A postpartum doula provides invaluable support to new parents during the challenging postpartum period. Their assistance with newborn care, breastfeeding guidance, emotional support, and household tasks allows parents to recover, bond with their baby, and navigate the early days of parenthood with confidence and reduced stress, ultimately promoting a smoother transition into family life.

I’m Susan Lucero, a wife, a mother to two beautiful daughters and a teacher in the SFPS since 1992. I enjoy being outdoors sharing food and fun with family and friends. One unique thing I enjoy is riding a side by side. I am excited to work as a labor doula and postpartum doula. I support all parents, especially those with no other support, so that all families have a positive birth and postpartum experience with less fear and stress. Birth Doula Packages
Level 1: Certified Doula Services 3 Visits + Birth $1800 + Tax =$1947.37
Level 2: Certified Doula Services 3 Visits & Birth, $1400 + Tax = $1514.62
Level 3: Certifying Mentored Doula Services 3 Visits & Birth $1100 + Tax = $1190.06

Postpartum Doula Packages
Day time Postpartum Doula Care: Day time care is offered in 4-24 hour blocks at $40/hr. Doulas offer flexible scheduling with a minimum of 4 hrs of care at a time. *Twins or Siblings $45/hour.
Nighttime Postpartum Doula care: (8pm or later): Overnight care is offered at $45/hr with a minimum of 8hrs of care at a time. *Twins/Siblings $50/hr
Payment Plans
The Birthing Tree offers a payment plan option for birth Doula services. We require a $200 upfront deposit when you book your doula, and complete payment by 37 weeks. You are welcome to break the payments up to meet your needs, as long as full payment is made by 37 weeks.
The initial deposit can be made via mail, or online through the drop down payment link above. Please note that the $200 deposit is non refundable. To do this, select ‘Make a Deposit for Your Doula Services’ in the drop down menu. Please be sure to specify the Doula you are working with in the ‘notes’ section of the payment.
The remaining payments may be made through Paypal by sending it to martha@thebirthingtree.com, we can invoice you through Paypal.
All prices are excluding Gross Receipts Tax (8.1875%) which is added in upon check out.

Pay It Forward
We believe every birthing person should have access to doula support however working as a doula is a huge commitment of time, training and care and also deserves compensation. If you are able, please consider donating full or part of the cost of a doula so that all in our community have access to this care. Every dollar donated goes towards proving a reduced cost or free doula to a family who needs it most.
